The idea for stir had its genesis a few years ago when the founders would privately organize old-school artists' salons where creative friends were encouraged to showcase a broad range of talents. Incredible work resulted from the interaction, presented by actors, musicians, composers, designers, writers, fine artists, performance artists and even chefs. Now stir is reinstating this tradition with an eye toward generating new projects from our Associated Artists Pool.

ARTISTS' SALONS (BY INVITATION ONLY)
Hosted by the production house, Stir. Sponsored by RogerSmithArts under the direction of Matt Semler. Held at the illustrious Roger Smith Hotel, owned by renowned sculptor/painter James Knowles.
The Salon evenings host a carefully curated guest list of approximately 25 artists representing a cross-section of different disciplines (art, design, film, music etc.), levels (emerging to masters), nationalities and generations. Among these artists, a featured chef and a featured winemaker are invited, providing their food and wine and sharing their inspiration.
The Salons are full evenings of inspired conversation, dining, drinking and sharing of work from across disciplines. All artists attending must be prepared to share some of their own creative work. This can be from a completed piece or a work-in-progress; a vocation or an avocation. The purpose behind the Salon is for artists and creatives to find inspiration and stimulation from each other's work and must in no way be a presentation or performance to an audience. Therefore, while everyone present may not have the opportunity to put their work up, it is essential that everyone in the room is prepared to do so.
Salons are by direct invitation only. Each artist's contribution is his or her work; there is no charge to any artist for this event. If you are an artist or creative and interested in being invited, or if you are interested in providing sponsorship, please contact us at catherine.eaton@stirproductions.net.
